Monster Energy/Thor/Leading Edge Kawasaki wrap up Arenacross season
18 March 2010, 6:06 am

  From Leading Edge Kawasaki

Kamloops, B.C(March 17, 2010) The Leading Edge Kawasaki was back in action this past weekend as the final two rounds of the Nex-Trax Canadian Arenacross series took place at an all new venue, the South Okanogan Events Center in Penticton, British Columbia. As Leading Edge Motorsports is a BC Interior based dealership the round was as close to a hometown race as there is in the series so plenty of local fans were in attendance to cheer on the team.

Coming into the weekend, Williams Lake's Brock Hoyer was the teams main hope for the title as he sat in second place in both classes. Last year's Open class champion, Hoyer put in a valiant effort with four straight podium finishes over the course of the weekend's action. Though he came up short for the title, his efforts rewarded him with second place overall in both classes.

Coming in right behind Hoyer in the final standings was his teammate, Brady Sheren. The White Rock native started things off well with a second place during Friday night's MX2 main event. It looked like more of the same on Saturday for Sheren but unfortunately he fell while leading the Open class and while running second in MX2. Still, he regrouped to grab a pair of fourths for the night and third overall in the final standings.

So, who finished fourth in the championship? Why, it was again a Leading Edge rider as Kris Foster ensured the team would finish 2-3-4 when all was said and done. The Kamloops local scored a pair of fourths and a fifth over the weekend to ensure his spot at number four in the final standings.

That concludes the indoor season for the team as they now shift their focus and attention towards the 2010 Monster Energy CMRC Canadian Nationals. The team is currently preparing and testing as they get ready to defend their MX2 title with defending champion, Teddy Maier, of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

The team would like to give a huge thanks to their sponsors for making their Canadian Arenacross effort possible:

Leading Edge Motorsports, Kawasaki Canada, Monster Energy, Thor, Parts Canada, Pro Circuit, Kyocera/Gold Business Machines, C4MX, Hinson, Pirelli, Podium Grafix, Sunline, Alpinestars, Fountain Tire, Zeta, DRC, Ogio, VP Fuels, Rock Construction and Mining, Gear Jammer Mikes, Mechanix Wear.
