2010 Opening Day at the Dunes18 March 2010, 5:06 am From Gopher Dunes
This unseasonably mild weather has allowed us to advance our Opening Day at Gopher Dunes to this Friday, March 19 at 11am. We will remain open this Saturday and Sunday as well, from 11am to 6pm on all 3 days. The main track, pee-wee track and beginner track will all be open for recreational riding. The trails will NOT be open for a few more weeks, as they are extremely wet and impassable. Only sport quads and mx/dirt bikes are allowed on the track, absolutely no 4x4 utility quads.
We will then be closed through the week, and weather permitting, plan to open again on the weekend of March 27 & 28. Riding fees remain the same as in 2009, that is, $20 midweek and $25 on weekends and stat days. This is a per rider fee (not per machine). Sign-in will take place at the Pro Shop. We accept cash or cheques and there is also an ATM onsite.
Please help us speed up the sign-in process...
For MINORS under 18: it is mandatory that Minors fill out the Parental Consent & Minor Waiver Release forms before their first ride at Gopher Dunes in 2010. Unless you plan on bringing along both parents to your first ride out at the Dunes, you must complete these forms at home. Go to:
www.gopherdunes.com and click on Memberships/Waivers and open both the Waiver for Parental.pdf and the Waiver for Minors.pdf files, print them, read them, get them signed as per instruction and bring them along. Without these forms you can be denied riding at the Dunes, so get 'er done NOW!! Even if both of your parents will be accompanying you, by completing these forms in advance will definitely speed up the sign-in process. Thank you!
2010 Gopher Dunes Memberships are also available for purchase -- to get your 'best bang for the buck' you should purchase your membership prior to your first ride at the Dunes. For $450 you will get Unlimited Practice Riding plus Free Gate Admission to our 4x4 MudFests & to our CMRC Motocross Races (excl. the Pro Nat'l w/e).
So head on down to the Dunes for your first outdoor ride of the season....what a great way to end the March Break and to welcome in spring 2010!!
