S10 a legitimate prerunner platform?
« on: November 06, 2008, 02:12:16 PM »
I used to have an s10 but never even thought about building it for the dez. Obviously a bunch of you have so, how do you think an S10 realistically matches up against a ranger or toyota pickup? Keep in mind: ease of build, reliability, cost, power, etc.

Or do you just build an s10 prerunner to be different?

I bought mine because I got it for pretty cheap, still has low miles, plus the motor and tranny are badass enough just for being stock so when you build up both you will be pleased like, But the bad part is that the frames on an s10 are to weak so if you wanna build it you better do it the right way and thats gonna cost you a lot of money

Haha what he did was BOMB it, mine were starting to do the same thing, put some tubing inbetween your frame rails so they will stop bending inward

just look at it, is it toed in at all? the reason I ask is because if you say your frame rails and bending inwards then your camber should be off

Yep the same thing happened to me, I had to get some custom work done on my CST kit so I wouldnt have so much camber change from the upper arm
