Some people prefer carb still, but most everything is moving to fuel injection. Fuel injection is more complex but allows much more control/logging/etc of the engines functions, which is a huge benefit to extreme conditions and longevity.

yeah thats what i though would be the best but the whole having to run computer and i hear its hard to tune them. i was told if i ran a carb with a fuel filter that would be easy and would still get constant flow with a fuel filter. but i dont know help me out here

If you're trying to keep it street legal, any engine swaps need to be the same year or newer than the vehicle. And if the vehicle has EFI, to be ref'ed,  the engine must have EFI and any smog emissions systems for that motor's application and year.

well i have a 350 small block and i was starting to think about carborated. I have heard if i run a carb and run a fuel pump i would be fine what do you guys think

Won't smog. You have to have all the smog equipment for the engine, plus be the same year or newer than the chassis.

Or, you'd have to know someone with a smog hookup.

 i live in colorado we dont have smog we have emissions here so i think it doesnt matter that much
